1. How to wear hearing aids?
When you use hearing aids for the first time, you may feel that the sound is not clear enough. Because you are accustomed to the original hearing condition, after using hearing aids, you will hear some unfamiliar sounds, so you cannot adapt to it temporarily. The main way to solve the problem is to carry out the necessary adaptive training. At the beginning, don't wear it for too long, and the volume should not be too loud, and slowly adapt to it.
2. How to carry out adaptive training?
Hearing aid adaptive training is not complicated. The general principle is to stick to wearing it and adapt it step by step:
(1) In terms of daily wearing time, it should be from short to long;
(2) From the point of view of volume adjustment, it should be small first and then large;
(3) From the point of view of the communication environment, it is better to be quiet first and then complicated, and first to be simple and then complicated.
This step by step will enable you to pass the adaptation period as soon as possible and maximize the role of hearing aids.
3. Why does whistling occur when wearing hearing aids?
If the contact part between the earplug and the ear canal is not tightly closed, the amplified sound leaks out from the gap and returns to the microphone to be amplified again. Howling will occur. This phenomenon is similar to howling when our common microphone is close to the speaker.
(1) The hand or an object is close to the hearing aid, because part of the sound is reflected on the palm or object and transmitted back to the microphone for further amplification.
(2) The hearing aid is not completely inserted into the ear canal or is not tightly sealed with the ear canal wall, and the amplified sound leaks and is transmitted back to the microphone.
(3) There is a lot of earwax in the ear, and earwax embolism occurs. The amplified sound is reflected on the earwax and transmitted to the microphone again, which will also generate feedback.
4. How to avoid howling?
(1) First adjust the volume adjustment knob of the hearing aid to the "1" position, then insert the earplugs into the ears and plug them as tightly as possible, and then adjust the volume to the clearest position.
(2) If the earplugs cannot be plugged tightly, please try another more suitable earplugs, plug the ears tightly, and do not leak air.
